The whole Bollywood film industry was boycotted by certain social media influencers as they were making narrative based movies defaming one religion and glorifying other. Many people called Bollywood as "KarachiWood". Movies like "The Kashmir Files" and "Gadar 2" which Bollywood celebrities boycotted were the biggest hits among people. So, the South Indian Film Industry became popular among India and abroad due to dubbing facility. Allu Arjun, Ravi Teja, Mahesh Babu, Rana Duggabati, Ram Charan, Junior NTR and more over Prabhas were household names...No need to mention about Anna Rajnikanth and he was always popular through the world. Bollywood had lost its sheen.
The Rise of South Indian dubbed movies
That time, Shahrukh Khan came with his 3 series of hits in a single year 2023. Those movies were Pathaan, Jawan & Dunki. However, certain section of media claims that these movies are corporate funded and all the collections are fake. Some youtubers even showed in the vlogs that morning shows were empty but housefull placard was outside. However, we go with the Box Office collections which says that Pathaan & Jawan crossed 1000 crores while Dunki went above 400 crores.
