Shahrukh Khan started his career with theatre plays with his mentor Barry John Sir & later acted in Doordarshan in TV serials like Doosra Kewal, Fauji, Wagle ki Duniya, Dil Dariya, Circus etc.

Shahrukh Khan acted in a historical period movie "Asoka" where he played the role of Mauryan Emperor ASOKA THE GREAT. In that movie, he had all the 9 types of expressions : Love, Laughter, Sorrow, Anger, Courage, Terror, Disgust, Wonder & Peace.

Love (For his mother & his lover)
Laughter (When he was in exile)
Sorrow (When his mother was murdered instead of him)
Anger (When he learnt that his mother was killed by his elder brother for throne)
Courage (When he started expanding his empire by any means)
Terror (When he killed all his brothers which were 99 to 100)
Disgust (His disgust towards his brother Sushima and the kingdom of Kalinga)
Wonder (He was wondered how Kalinga kingdom without king was fighting against him)
Peace (When in the end he leaves the path of violence & embraces peace)

 

 

Shahrukh Khan's role in Asoka as Emperor Asoka established him as KING OF EXPRESSIONS. The following shorts mashup video clearly shows his expressions which puts a soul in the written character.
