Shahrukh Khan started his career with theatre plays with his mentor Barry John Sir & later acted in Doordarshan in TV serials like Doosra Kewal, Fauji, Wagle ki Duniya, Dil Dariya, Circus etc.

"Raees" was a movie loosely inspired from the bootlegger don of Gujarat Lateef. Shahrukh Khan played that character in his own style where his character is of a bootlegger selling liquor illegally in a dry state. He enters into politics and later is accused of involved in terrorist activities. The movie is a roller coaster of emotions and vivid expressions.
