Shahrukh Khan started his career with theatre plays with his mentor Barry John Sir & later acted in Doordarshan in TV serials like Doosra Kewal, Fauji, Wagle ki Duniya, Dil Dariya, Circus etc.

"DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE" was a movie which completely changed the image of Shahrukh Khan as a romantic hero. This movie created a history in the Indian cinema better known as Bollywood. Shahrukh Khan performed the role of a rich NRI son as Raj Malhotra who fell in love with a girl already engaged in her childhood and was getting married shortly in India. They met during a Europe tour. The transformation of Shahrukh Khan in Raj Malhotra's character was exceptional as the movie progresses.

Ramjaane was a movie where he plays role of a tapori or hooligan who never fears death. He was marvelous in that role through his expressions.
